news about me :)

Hey everyone!

How are you all? It's really quiet on blogland, but that's to be expected during week-ends :D Anyway, I just thought I'd give everyone some updates on me :P

I'm a bit behind on my reviews (wow, that's probably a first), but I've managed to read White Mountain by Sharon Sala writing as Dinah McCall (really enjoyed that one) and This matter of Marriage by Debbie Macomber which was okay. I aslo re-read Slave to Sensation by Nalini Singh and Stolen by Kelley Armstrong. By the way, anyone wants a review of Stolen? Since I haven't written one for it yet...

So, yeah, as you can guess, that's pretty much what I did... read. And clean my room. Again. Sigh, I can't keep my room clean for more than a few days. Anyone has any tricks? :P

I also download 10 eps. of this chinese tv series that I've been anticipating for over a year! Finally, it's out. It really took me the whole week-end though to d/l, since it was 1.3GB through Bittorent. I was still able to watch some pieces and bits. So far, I'm as satisfied as I can, since well, I don't undrestand anything... it's in Mandarin and I don't understand it... it's just that I know the story well as I've read it and it's one of my favorite. So far, the adaptation is quite good, although I don't like the main actress.

Other news, we're finally getting snow today! They're predicting 15cm (5.91 inches), but I bet there's already more than that outside. It took my 1h30 to get home and I left early! I can't imagine what it's going to be at rush hour... Poor Dad, hope he makes it home safely.

Other cool thing is that the Australian Open has started and with the difference in time, I won't miss anything because I'm at work :P How cool is that? (Answer: very cool :P) Since Henin-Hardenne is not there, I'm rooting for Clijters for the women and Hewitt for the men (although I know the chance that Hewitt wins it is very slim).

All right, that's it for me :P Perhaps I'll take some pics of the snow tomorrow!

Have a nice day everyone :D

ps - did anyone do the change from blogger to the new version? I've been wondering if I should, but I'm usually pretty lazy when it comes to "upgrade" my things.

  1. It'd be a bit of a surprise if Hewitt one, but we'd all be pretty happy. I am trying to decide if we will go to the tennis one of these days. We went last year when we had centre court tickets. It was a really great day.

  2. You're so lucky Marg!!! I wish I could go to such a big event too :P Although, it must be pretty expensive.

Yeah, I don't think Hewitt will win, but we can dream :P I don't like the Americans and although, yeah, Federer is a great player, it's a bit boring that he wins everyone. I absolutely detest Nadal... so there's not many top players left to cheer :P

  3. I haven't switched blogger yet. I'm using the "if it ain't broke, why fix it?" train of thought but what it really is, is that I don't want to take the effort to think it through :)

  4. Hey Nath-a tip for driving home with crazy snow-wait until after rush hour to get home. You'll get home about the same time you would if you leave before rush hour. That's how it works out. Plus-earn some overtime! LOL

  5. Kristie - I know, I have the same mentality too :P It always takes me a while before I do any updates to my things ^^; ah well, I'm still going to wait a little tho, see how it goes :P

Ames - Forget it, Ames. It's a nice tip, but I don't get overtime pay, so there's not point in staying longer right? I'd rather leave earlier :P and miss the start of the traffic :D and I usually leave work at 3pm, so leaving after rush hour would get me home really late :P

  6. The best way to keep a room clean, is by having a place for everything. I find my room gets cluttered when I don't know where to put things. So by making a place or it (or getting rid of it), there's less clutter and more neatness! LOL.

I have changed over to the new blogger and I must say, I like it better. When you submit a new post, it goes up immediately--you don't have to wait for it to "publish". You can also create labels which I love. So far I haven't had any problems and it's very easy to make the switch. :-)

  8. I'd forgotten the Australian Open had started! I'll have to see if I get the right TV channels to see any of it. I love Hewitt! Though it'd be pretty amazing if he actually won.

Switching to the new blogger was really easy, and nothing looks different on your blog. I think they got all the kinks worked out so there aren't any problems. And like DanceChica says, your posts get published much faster.

  9. Yeah, switching over to the new blogger made me one happy woman, not only do we get tags/labels with the new blogger but we get faster publishing of blogs, it's soooo the business you need to switch! ;)

As for keeping a room clean, I'm all about what DC said...have a place for everything and you should be good to go.

  10. Hey girls,

sorreh for not answering earlier. I was planning to this morning, but came late to work and a lot of things...

DC - the thing is more, I'm too lazy to put the things back in their place ^^; As for the new blogger, seeing the comments, I'll probably do the switch soon... maybe this weekend :D

Mailyn - not anime... I'm taking a break, because I need to clean my harddrive! No more space to d/l things! as for the series I was talking about, it's Bi Xue Jian (Sword Stained and Royal Blood). It's another adaptation from Jin Yong's novel, the author of Return of the Condor Heroes, Legend of the Condor Heroes and Demi-Gods and Semi-Devils. I am so behind in everything too!

Jennie - I've been waiting for the Australian Open for awhile... but such a disappointment that Henin-Hardenne withdrew. If only she told her fans why... As for Hewitt, it'd be amazing, but so cool. Although, very doubtful...

    Dylan - I hear yeah woman... tags... I think I will for the tags :P As for a clean room, it's just not happening ^^;
